New logo of Bharti

with 3 comments

Bharti yesterday unveiled its new logo, the company says the new logo signifies the company’s transformation from basically a telecom company to a true conglomerate with interests in insurance, retail and other sectors.

Personally speaking i liked the old logo, it has been bold and heavy reflecting stability. The new logo is  designed by JWT. As per the companies official notification the blue stands for depth and orange for passion whereas the arrows portray diversity and new direction for its business. Visually the logo is above average but there is too much empty spaces between the fonts which kind of makes it look faint with a not so bold font. Recently all those corporates who have gone thru logo / branding change has predominantly shifted to light blue color. if you remember ADAG Reliance and Unilever both has shifted to light blue shade for their new logo’s both of them earlier used dark colors. I am not saying that the color is not good or something but dark colors are certainly better when its to be used in logo’s. Anyway on the whole its a good effort and nice work and insight.

  3. i guess changing a well established logo is not that easy, it should always have some traits of earlier logo thats the reason they didnt mess with the orange color. the whole purpose is to rather convey the transformation of their business rater than a complete change.
