Business of religions

The recent efforts of the Government of Gujarat to pull down all illegal temples in gandhinagar, a move which was supported by narendra modi has to be stalled after lot of criticism from VHP. The so said saviour of hinduism (modi) was claimed to be the biggest threat to hinduism. Thou modi being a religious fanatic has been focusing quiet on development and other related issues and is trying to do some good by stopping this illegal temple business.

Most of these temples are build for personal benefits by people who have hold in the areas, they build this fucking stupid structures on government land, causing traffic and other administrative troubles. Building temples certainly makes good business sense, make a temple anywhere and you get a good amount of people coming there, and when people aggregate in an area then it means only one thing – and its business. You build you shops along side, you give spaces to vendors and charge money from them for selling flowers, coconuts and whatelse. Its really sad that modi has to take back his stand due to pressure from VHP, what else a politician would do when all kind of posters come up in the city taking a toll on the main factor on the basis of which (assumed) he had won elections.
religion is certainly the tool of the powerful to attain his selfish interest and an opium for the poor who under its intoxication losses the bit of common sense he had.
