A day in the life of India

My experiments with Life

The reason i have been missing in action here was that action and reaction was happening in kerala where i have been for the past few weeks for  marriage of a cousin (everyone seems to be marrying these days, i m feeling left out). Once upon a time i was deeply infatuated by her, and it was the only time i was infatuated.. it was more like bachpan ka pyaar. In childhood we used to play a lot, and had decided that we would marry each other, i always used to look forward for vacation time when i could meet her.. We used to play marriage and would garland each other.. some how my mind got stuck there and as we grew older i never forgot those days and still loved her, but she forgot.. its in my nature, i m a man of the past… i have always valued past over future.. i truly believe that past is always beautiful.. past cant be compensated with promises of future.. past is beautiful… always…

So she got married with some dubai wala (love marriage) he used to work with her while in india. she is a professor in eng college. Marriage was ok for me and good for her i guess…

Moving over to present, me, my sister, father, mom and a friend of my sister (better if we call him her bf) went this time, most of the time we take some of my friend along with us, but this time it was my sis’s friend. The guy seems to be good, so all the way had to watch their loveria giri.. nothing unusual but makes for good observation and time pass. Its really amazing to see how my parents have grown so broad minded after living with me, my bundles really did effect them, that they allowed taking her bf along with us considering how all the rural folks take stuffs like these… anyway its not worth putting much thoughts into… eventually she might end up doing arranged marriage that what usually happens..

Trip was fun on the whole, drinking was considerably less most of the time went to bar and drank some beer alone, hard drinks only twice with some of cousins friend and sis’s bf. The guy tried to maintain a clean image but then gaveup.. people dont hold up much in front of me.. anyway he might have understood my nature that i dont give a cent worth of value to image…

His company ensured that we didnt end up getting bored too much, he will today leave back along with my sister back to pune, i m sure that he had some good experiences and earned some knowledge (obviously from me). We also went fishing for shell fish and other normal fishing trips, one of my cousin is an addictive fisher, he cant see fishes in water, the moment he sees them he has the urge to take it out.. Another cousin will be leaving for kuwait in some days.. we also went to an astrologer, its one of my sister’s hobby. Every time she is in kerala she has to go to an astrologer, well i like that too. Its always nice to hear predictions about your future, whether u believe in it or not.. My views on astrology in the comming post..

fin.

P.S. I m thinking of doing stories now, i believe i can be good at it minus the techniques and language. I m just confused if i should start a separate blog for it or just continue here… the problem is that ppl dont expect stories here so i m not sure if i should bore them with it.. if i start a new blog i will certainly fall short of readership.. i have a good readership at this blog as of now..Do share your views about it.. and yes the stories wont be of the usual types, uncommoness will be the guiding factor..

  1. Please do write your stories here itself…ur narration style makes people stick to it until done :)taking sisters bf for a cousins marriage is unusual though!!! πŸ™‚

  3. past cant be compensated with promises of future.. past is beautiful… always… This was super gyaan in this post!I believe new blog is a better idea for stories. Your genuine reader will surely know when you create a new blog, so readership is going no where. Plus, you might develop new readership which is "only interested in stories".

  7. hey man… posting after a long time…I'd suggest you create a new blog for the stories… That way people who are interested only in stories can be directed to it…I like everything you post… So I'm gonna be following both.if you're worried about readership, you can write a post advertising your new blog… Also keep giving references to the stories periodically.

  8. I too feel a guy can't remain sober with you for long! πŸ˜€ The trip was well described, at least the uncommonness was evident. Wish your sister well, at least marriage to a wealthy guy will continue to be a common factor in an Indian girl's decision.Coming to your story writing, I welcome it. You may continue here, but don't leave real life narratives. A story followed by another one from real life will be more fun. Will look forward to more!

  11. @chhaya.. whats going to happen in future depends on what happened in past…so if anyone is interested in understand life, he needs to have a grip on the past..

  12. i was thinking bahot time ho gaya uncommon post padhe,, ab samajme aaya ki aap ye astrology, numerology me kahin atak gaye the :Pluck and karma ka to 36 ke aankda hai.. bole to jaise kaam karte hai usko karma aur bina kaam kiye ilzaam aaye wo luck :Pi mean astology and numerology are always interesting subject for me, but me inn sub ko seriously nahi leta kyun ki, agar raahuji kahin baithe hai to usko konsa humlog khada kar sakte hai? aur shaniji naaraz hai to.. hamare kurm(karma) hi aise kiye hai humne, naraaz nahi honge to kya khushi khushi gale milayenge…so astrology and numerology is science..i think..but cant proove..

  13. Your outlook towards life is so different from the common. You knew that your sister's friend is actually her boyfriend, but still you are not fazed by it. That is quite unique and perhaps even open minded. And I like it when you say that their conversations make for good observations. I can't deny that you are an excellent observer. I believe you had a good time back in Kerala.About the stories, I really think you must do them here itself — simply because you have a reader base here and knowing you the stories will never be boring. πŸ™‚
